Capital Ship 1, Washington Class Carrier is a stand alone product. No other purchase is required. Compatible with Poser 5, 6, 7 and 8 ONLY.
The Washington Class Carrier was the first Capital size ship built and the most expansive class. It was the "Condor" who also became the first Washington Class Capital Ship to be destroyed during the war.
After many years, the war with the "Bugs" was not going well for mankind. It appeared that with every new weapon system developed and deployed by the humans, the "Bugs" would counter with one or more systems capable of defeating the humans. This seemed to be the norm with everything except for Starships.
The "Bugs" seemed to lack the capability to match the human development of Starship technologies.
Many factors were involved in making the decision to not just upgrade or expand the fleet but more like "Up-Gun". The idea was to create "Bigger and Better" Starships that the "Bugs" would never be able to match, and to provide as much fire-power as possible both offensively and defensively.
At first this plan seemed like the answer to many problems faced by the current "Ships Of The Fleet". Only some of the large Corporations who were asked to help finance and build these ships, were concerned not only with the cost to build them but with the "what if lost in action" scenario.
The Corporations worst fears came with the Battle Of The Two Suns. Two systems out on the edge of the Frontier, that later, during the war would be of immense strategic value to the war effort.
